The AI Factory Austria AI:AT offers free coworking and office spaces for startups, companies, researchers, and innovators who want to shape the future of Artificial Intelligence in Austria.
Our goal is to build a vibrant community where startups, industry, academia, and the public sector come together to turn AI ideas into reality.
What we offer:
- Modern, free, and flexible workspaces in Vienna
- Access to Austria’s growing AI ecosystem

Who can join:
- AI startups developing AI as core technology, product or service
- SMEs & companies, running AI pilot projects, collaborating with startups or research institutions, or developing their own AI solutions
- Researchers & students working on AI-related projects with real-world impact
- Public institutions & ecosystem actors contributing to Austria’s AI and innovation ecosystem
The workspace is free of charge – as part of our publicly funded mission to accelerate AI adoption and innovation in Austria and across Europe.
How it works:
- Initial period: 3-6 months
- Extension: up to a maximum of 12 months – depending on your activity and contribution to the community
- Check-ins every 3 months: to share progress, ensure active participation, and exchange ideas

Pilot phase – Join Us Now
We’re currently in our pilot coworking phase, with the first teams already testing our spaces and setup.
If you want to be part of the journey from the very beginning and help shape the community, apply during the next application phase (tba).
What happens next?
- We’ll review your application and get back to you within 1-2 weeks.
- If there’s a match, we’ll invite you for a short intro call or on-site visit.
- Once confirmed, you’ll receive your workspace access and onboarding details – and become part of our growing community.
