Artificial intelligence, European technological expertise and the concrete use of AI in companies were the focus of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce’s AI Day in Klagenfurt. AI Factory Austria AI:AT was also represented on site and used the event to talk to companies, interested parties and partners about current developments and future opportunities in the field of AI.
The keynote speech by digital entrepreneur Roger Basler de Roca provided a strong start. He made it clear that Europe already has powerful AI solutions – and why digital sovereignty and the conscious use of European technologies are becoming increasingly important.
At the AI Factory Austria AI:AT stand, numerous visitors gained insights into the AI Factory Austria AI:AT and the wide range of services related to artificial intelligence. The focus was on discussions about infrastructure, support options for companies and specific fields of application for AI in research and business.

Michael Löffler (Lead Legal, Regulatory and Ethics AI:AT) also took to the stage as part of the panel discussion and contributed the perspective of the Austrian AI ecosystem. Topics discussed included the expansion of sovereign AI infrastructure and the upcoming AI supercomputer, which is set to create new opportunities for research, innovation and industrial applications in the future.
Afterwards, several specialist presentations provided practical examples of how companies are already successfully using artificial intelligence to create value. The program was supplemented by an overview of current funding opportunities in the field of AI.
Even after the official part of the program, the exchange remained intensive: the AI:AT team was available to the participants for individual questions and in-depth discussions as part of the networking session, before the event continued with workshops in the afternoon.
The AI Day once again showed how great the interest is in trustworthy, European AI and in concrete support offers for companies.
