As part of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), AI Factory Austria AI:AT not only contributes to building a strong AI ecosystem in Austria, but also pursues a clear European goal: to network and jointly develop innovations, skills and infrastructures across national borders. The focus is on providing the best possible support for start-ups, SMEs, industry and research projects throughout Europe – across borders, seamlessly and cooperatively.

In order to achieve this goal, we are constantly intensifying our collaboration with other European AI Factories and identifying new opportunities for cooperation. Last month alone showed how this close networking is already being put into practice: the organization of the largest face-to-face meeting of European AI factories to date, bilateral talks with the Slovenian AI Factory (SLAIF) and the Slovakian AI Factory Antenna as well as the exchange of best practices, learnings and strategic perspectives for further cooperation provided important impetus for future European cooperation.

These activities underline the common goal of building a strong European AI ecosystem through close coordination, mutual learning and concrete cooperation.

The participating organizations include LUMI AI Factory (Finland), BSC AI Factory (Barcelona, Spain), 1HealthAI (Spain), IT4LIA AI Factory (Italy), HammerHAI (Germany), MIMER AI Factory (Sweden), L-AIF (Luxembourg), SLAIF (Slovenia), CZAI (Czech Republic), RO AI (Romania), Antenna Slovakia (Slovakia) and BRAIN++ (Bulgaria).
