In recent weeks, AI Factory Austria AI:AT welcomed several international delegations to its Coworking Hub in Vienna. Visitors from India, the Caribbean, and Spain came to learn more about Austria’s national platform for applied artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, and to exchange ideas on collaboration, innovation, and successful AI applications.
Strengthening ties between Austria and India
The visit of the delegation from India was organised by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and included representatives from ten companies and the Indian Embassy in Austria.
The AI:AT team introduced the guests to the AI Factory and its Coworking Hub, providing insights into how AI projects are supported from early-stage ideas through to implementation. Two startups based in the AI:AT Coworking Hub, Onefold AI and CyberACI, presented their solutions and approaches in the field of artificial intelligence.
The visit focused on fostering exchange and discussing strategies of connecting innovation ecosystems across regions.

Exchange with Caribbean representatives
Another visit, organised by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA), brought representatives of Caribbean governments to AI:AT.
Following an introduction to AI Factory Austria by Karl Kugler, the visitors explored the Coworking Hub, and met with the teams AI Austria and the Vienna Business Agency.
The programme also included:
- a presentation of KI Mobil
- a deep dive into the AI Act Compliance Assistant paiper.one
- a startup showcase featuring Neoalp, Zenta Solution, Wictory, Infrared City, Swisdata, and CyberACI

A visit from Barcelona
AI:AT also welcomed a group of 20 students from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Spain) studying artificial intelligence and architecture. In addition to an introduction to AI:AT’s activities, the programme featured startup pitches from Soneo and MotionCast, as well as a live online presentation by Arnau Cuatrecasas – Innovation Space Manager of the AI Factory Barcelona.
The discussions reflected a strong interest in how AI is shaping creative disciplines and architecture. Exchanges between students, researchers, and practitioners opened up new perspectives and potential avenues for future collaboration.

A growing international perspective
These visits reflect a growing international interest in how AI ecosystems are being developed in practice, combining infrastructure, expertise, and community building. AI Factory Austria AI:AT provides one example of how these elements can come together in a shared environment that supports both technological development and collaboration across sectors and borders.
