Your rights
You have the right to request information about the personal data stored about you. Furthermore, you have the right to have your data corrected or deleted. Under the specific conditions of the General Data Proctection Regulation, you also have the right to request the restriction of processing of your data or its tranfer. In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your data.

If your data is processed based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Detailed Information on Specific Processing Purposes

1. Public Relations / Knowledge Transfer

Purposes and Legal Basis

The purpose of this processing is to provide information about the activities of AI:AT or the organizations involved in the project. The primary legal basis for this processing is your consent, if you have given it. In certian situations, processing is based on the legitimate interest of informing about the publicly funded activities of AI:AT (e.g., when contacting via professional social networks or targeted contact regarding specific projects).

Retention Period

Data will be retained as long as it is necessary for public realtions within the scope of the project. This period may vary depending on the context in which contact between the data subject and AI:AT was established.

2. Event Management

Purposes and Legal basis

The purpose of this processing is to organize and conduct events within the AI:AT project and to report on them. The legal basis for the processing is AI:AT’s legitimate interest in properly conducting events and fulfilling the reporting requirements of funding bodies.

Data Subjects and Categories of Data Processed

Persons who participate or wish to participate in AI:AT events (interested parties) Data provided during registration for an AI:AT-organized event, as well as data provided during the event (e.g., contributions during webinars or on-site events)

Providing this data is necessary to participate in the event.

Recipients of Data

We do not share your data with third parties.

Retention Period

Your data will be retained until the event has been properly concluded.

3. Trainings and Workshops

Purposes and Legal basis

The purpose of this processing is the planning, organization, and evaluation of trainings and workshops in order to optimally disseminate knowledge related to the trustworthy development or use of artificial intelligence. The legal bases are the legitimate interest in processing the data necessary for the proper organization of trainings/workshops; the legitimate interest in processing the data required to meet accountability obligations toward funding bodies; and the consent of the data subjects — where required in specific constellations.

Persons who have expressed interest in trainings/workshops organized by AI:AT, who participate in them, or who contribute to them (“training participants” and “speakers”)

  • Information on organizational affiliation (for reporting purposes)
  • Information on the reason for participation and additional interests
  • Communication historyGender (where voluntarily provided and required for reporting purposes)
  • Information on prior education or qualifications (where specific knowledge is relevant)
  • Image and audio material (recordings) of contributions, such as verbal statements (where consent for this has been provided)

Recipients of Data

Providers of online meeting solutions who act as service providers in the delivery of webinars.

Retention Period

Data will be stored until the completion of the evaluation of the trainings/workshops. Data necessary to meet accountability obligations toward funding bodies will be retained until the end of the period during which the proper use of funding can be verified.
