AI Factory Austria AI:AT offers free access to the European high-performance computing infrastructure (EuroHPC) and supports the development of initial AI use cases with practical assistance – fast, uncomplicated and with comprehensive support.

Our goal is to enable companies to implement AI projects efficiently, structurally, and with maximum impact using European compute infrastructure.

What this means for your company

Free access to high-performance computers

Immediately available for training and fine-tuning your AI models.

Up to 12 months of access to computing resources

Structured access within a clearly defined pilot period.

Fast onboarding & technical support

Initial consultations, technical coordination and individual follow-up discussions.

Concrete results in a short time

Targeted support to efficiently turn AI use cases into tangible results.

Visibility & communication support

Opportunity to present and communicate successful pilot projects.

Priority access to limited pilot places

The number of places available is limited.

Scope & conditions

The use of the European high-performance computing infrastructure is linked to certain framework conditions:

  • Computing resources can be used for model training and fine-tuning.
  • Inference is only possible for test purposes.
  • The hosting of production applications is currently not supported.
  • Participating companies must have a valid VAT identification number.

In order to meet different user needs and levels of experience, the EuroHPC JU offers several access tracks:

20,000-90,000 GPU hours
6 months valid
approx. 4 weeks APPROVAL

Intended for scientific research projects based on AI models, with a focus on ethical AI, machine learning, modern foundation models and generative AI.

Small node hour allocation
12 months valid
approx. 3 weeks APPROVAL

For researchers and HPC developers preparing applications for regular or extreme scale access.

Focus on the development, testing and optimization of code, algorithms and AI methods on exascale, pre-exascale and petascale systems.

5,000 GPU hours
3 months valid
approval within Days

Quick access for SMEs and start-ups.

Ideal for initial tests, validating workflows and testing the environment.

10,000-50,000 GPU hours
3 months valid
approx. 1 week APPROVAL

For users with previous EuroHPC experience.

Suitable for scaling prototypes, fine-tuning AI models or smaller production runs.

GPU allocation
case-by-case
Duration up to 12 months
Detailed review process

Designed for resource-intensive or long-term R&D projects.

Particularly suitable for industrial training, cooperation with several partners or scientific breakthroughs.

Thematic calls and calls for consortia are regularly published on the EuroHPC JU website. Projects must clearly state their objectives, computing resource requirements, ethical aspects and expected impact. A report is required at the end of the project.
